Website Contributor's Style Guide

So that we can maintain uniformity and enhance the readability of our website, contributors are asked to make it a point to adhere to the following rules when writing their articles:

When adding or deleting an article either insert or delete the description in the "What's on this page" section at the top of the page.  Place topics into the list in their appropriate sequence.

All text should be in "Verdana" font (located at the bottom of the font list).

Specify bold format, "B" for all text.

Use 14 point font size for the section title and underline it.  If there is a need for a sub-title utilize 12 point font size.

Use blue (identified within the color pallet in the upper left corner, the 6th square) for the title lines.

Use 10 point font size for the body of the text.

Use black (identified in the extreme upper left hand corner of the color pallet) for the body.

When writing text use upper and lower case; don't use only upper case.

Do not indent when beginning a paragraph but do skip a line between paragraphs.

Skip two spaces between sentences.

If desired, for highlighting dates and etc., use red (identified in the second row, sixth square from the right in the color pallet) but utilize red sparingly.

Check your spelling; use the spell check function if you're unsure.

Place two blank spaces before your title line and two blank spaces after your last line of text.

With the exception of a heading at the top of a group of photos that is not being introduced by some explanatory text, do not use the "Headline" function provided by the Network Solutions software.  Use of the headline is otherwise reserved for use by the web master.   Whenever "Headline" is used the letters should be in blue and the background should be in silver.

It's up to YOU. DO SOMETHING!
